How thick should I lay it?
I tell people 4 to 6 inches for a driveway. Parking lots need 6 to 8. Running loaded dump trucks over it? Go 8 to 12 inches. Don't skimp on the base.
Can crusher run be a finished driveway surface?
Yes. It compacts hard enough to use as a surface. Most people top it with #610 limestone for a cleaner, smoother finish. Either way works.
How much does it weigh per cubic yard?
About 1.5 tons per cubic yard. The mixed particle sizes pack tightly, so it's heavier than most single-size aggregates. Factor that into your truck capacity.
