Sand & Gravel FAQ for Lake Charles & Calcasieu Parish

Our minimum delivery is 1 cubic yard. That is enough to fill a small garden bed or patch a section of driveway. For yard pickup, there is no minimum at all. Bring your truck or trailer and we load you up during business hours. Most homeowner projects need between 3 and 15 cubic yards.

Most orders placed before noon go out next business day. Next-day delivery is available for every order to Lake Charles, Sulphur, Moss Bluff, Westlake, and all other communities in Calcasieu Parish. Contractor account holders get priority scheduling with first-available time slots. Delivery windows are morning (7 AM to noon) or afternoon (noon to 5 PM).

Saturday pickups run 7 AM to noon. Saturday deliveries are available by appointment for orders placed before Friday at noon. Call ahead to reserve a time slot. We know a lot of homeowners can only take deliveries on weekends, so we work it in when we can.

Crushed limestone is quarried rock broken into angular pieces with sharp edges. It compacts tight and locks together, making it ideal for driveways, parking lots, and road base. Gravel is naturally rounded stone from riverbeds. Pea gravel and river rock are decorative and drain well but do not compact as firmly. For structural applications, crushed limestone wins every time.
